Remembering Mt. Harris
Mt. Harris was a small mining community located between Hayden and Steamboat Springs in Northwestern Colorado. The Town had its start in 1913 when George Harris developed a coal mine there. Three mine camps opened up in the area and all of them eventually closed and the towns were torn down with Mt. Harris the last to go in 1958. These are the reminisces of author Chuck Mack who grew up in Mt. Harris.
