Education, Children, & More....

The HHC has a number of resources available to educators whether public school, private, or homeschool.  We are happy to give school tours or come to your school for a trunk show demo, or talk to your group.  Please call the Museum in advance!

School Tours

The HHC gives guided school tours year round.  Please call the Museum to let us know when you would like to have a school class tour.

Special Programs

The Hayden Heritage Weekend 2012 was a huge success.  Thanks to the Green Family for allowing us to take people on a tour of the Elk Head Rock School house with author of Nothing Daunted Dorothy Wickenden and historian Belle Zars.  We hope to bring other events  to showcase the area of West Routt and Hayden's local history.

Internships

Intern positions are non paid education positions.  Approval by the curator, the Board of Directors and, if high school age, approval by the school attending is necessary.

Museum Hunt/ Hands on

The Museum currently has a few hands on displays as well as a Museum Hunt complete with prize.  See the Museum docent on your arrival for a treasure sheet and see if you can find all the answers!
